I've been dancing Lindy hop for almost a decade and have been as a full time since 2015. I've worked and choreographed with a number of swing companies in the United States and Europe including Denver's 23 Skidoo and St. Gallen's Swingcopate. And while I don't compete often I have won and placed in a few competitions at prestigious events like Rock That Swing Fest, Lindy on the Rocks, and Midwest Lindy Fest to name a few.
My goal as a teacher is to give my students the freedom to make choices on the dance floor so they can express themselves and find their own personal style. To me every piece of technique is another tool in the tool box that I can use to express myself in the moment. I believe the real magic is not only about skill, but about understanding how YOU move and who YOU are.
My goal as a dancer is to spread the love of the dance. And to that end I have spent most of my career studying the craft of teaching, engaging with students, and navigating scene dynamics.
